Abstract

The properties of betatron radiation produced in laser-wakefield accelerators where the driver possesses orbital angular momentum, such as Laguerre-Gaussian beams, are explored through a combination of particle-in-cell simulations (performed with OSIRIS) with the radiation post-processing tool jRad. The possibility to produce betatron radiation with orbital angular momentum and how the characteristics of the driver laser can affect these properties are investigated.
